Physical Appearance
[attr="class","apane"]Kaiser is a tall, slender, muscular young adult male, built as a proficient American football quarterback should be to be able to run as well as throw. His straight hair is an ash blond color, cut only short enough to spike it up without needing any products.
He keeps his face well shaved, however sometimes he shaves his ashen gold beard in a brett style which accentuates his angular, strong jaw and chin. His skin is a fair olive color and rather hairy, even though it's not very easy to notice this due to the fair color of his body hair.
His upturned eyes are a cold icy blue hue and are often concealed behind reflective aviator sunglasses when outside. His nose is middle-sized and has a long nasal bridge that culminates in narrow nostrils, with a straight and pointy profile.
His ears are reverse-triangular in shape, and almost don't stick out, allowing his hair to cover them from frontal view most of the time.
He is often covered in grease, oil, and other such substances while at work, and often while at home too due to his hobbies. Because of this he changes clothes daily, so besides his blue jumpsuit its hard to see him wearing a specific outfit.
However, he owns many similar articles of clothing, only varying in color. He owns several jackets either of denim or leather in blue and black colors, crewneck t-shirts and tank tops, usually in the colors white, black, red or blue. He often wears black work boots and may be carrying a tool belt.

Personality
[attr="class","apane"]Chivalry will never be old-fashioned, that's a very good phrase to describe Kaiser, who believes strongly in being chivalrous in general, working hard for what he wants, and to hold his honor even if it hurts.
Getting close to him is very easy, if you don't do it odds are he'll do it for you, Kaiser is in fact a really calm and nice guy, a great partner if you need someone to walk you home after a party full of alcohol... Unless he fell for a chick, then you're on your own again and you better start looking for someone else because he's gonna take his time. He's also brilliant... in a very special way. You see, he's a genius when it comes to physics, biology and chemistry, which is weird considering how bad he is when it comes to abstract maths, and history, and geography... and pretty much everything else.
He's also an astonishing football player, enjoying a good game almost as much as he enjoys building or repairing an engine, or going for a walk in the local woods, or fishing, camping or hunting with Robert. It's easy to know when Kaiser is happy, he's way too talkative and flirtatious, this happens more often than not when working in something that he loves, or when hanging out with girls, or when he's with his Dasher which is pretty much all the time.
When Kaiser is sad, he tends to be less talkative and slower to answer, and rarely ever does he talks why he is sad, in this mood he also works more slowly and is noticeably distracted.
Due to his experiences and being used to live in the slums, Kaiser is rarely ever seen without a swissknife, both for the tools it has and for the blades with which he can fight back, although ever since he got to keep Dasher at home there aren't many crazy enough to cross his path.

History
[attr="class","apane"]The child of a broken home, Kaiser spent much of his life in and out of foster care since he was seven, his memories from before that age are mostly blurry, but the ones that he keeps are of his brother Colt, who was the person with whom he spent most of his time, since spending time with his father implied getting hurt and spending time with his mother was nearly impossible as she kept their father away and busy.
His father was always drunk and took to beating on both his wife and kids when he got angry at the world. Colt ran from home as soon as he turned twelve, while Kaiser was nine, giving the little boy the option to follow him... Kaiser stayed because he didn't want to leave their mother, and Colt gave Kaiser the amulet, for luck, saying that maybe someday they'd meet again.
Kaiser eventually got adopted by Robert Löwe, a mechanic and retired vehicle engineer from the air force whose wife had passed away just a couple of years before. When he was adopted, Kaiser was eleven, and despite the difference in ages since Robert was fifty seven, they got along wonderfully. Robert provided Kaiser with the security that Colt used to give him, and in turn Kaiser provided Robert with the joy of a son and a trustworthy helper in the garage.
What Robert did notice almost instantly was that Kaiser had a lot of potential when it came to machines, easily learning everything that Robert taught him and going further to deduce things he had yet to teach him. With this promising talent, Robert expected Kaiser to do overwhelmingly well at school and he did... kind of. Kaiser was exceptionally good at some classes, specially when it came to Physics, Biology and Chemistry, however his tendency to aggressively keep others away often landed him in detention.
In order to get some extra money for the family, Kaiser got a small job at the local zoo's gift store when he turned sixteen, it was this job what allowed him to meet and eventually keep Dasher. Dasher was a newborn cub when Kaiser first arrived at the zoo, a big newborn cub at it, and throughout the following year it became clear that whatever Dasher was, he wasn't a lion as he reached the size of an adult lion in just four months, by his eight months of life, Dasher had to be relocated as he just wouldn't fit in the space with the other lions.
While moving the huge feline from the zoo cage to a transportation cage something went wrong and the lion escaped, roaming through the zoo while everyone got evacuated. Kaiser was coming out of the store with a bunch of people when Dasher walked towards them. It was a strange thing for both, one moment they were staring into each other eyes, the next Kaiser had Dasher laying on its side, eyes closed as the teen petted its still growing mane in a deep trance.
The weird episode culminated with Kaiser leading Dasher into his new cage, and only when the bars separated them did the two come out of the daze they had been into. From that moment on, it became clear that both the teen and the lion shared a special bond, Dasher wouldn't eat from anyone but Kaiser, and Kaiser would feel restless whenever he wasn't within an earshot from Dasher.
The bond between both went so far as to allow Kaiser to teach tricks and stunts to Dasher, requiring little to no commands, as if the lion knew just what the teen was thinking, and the teen knew just what the lion was thinking. What began as an attraction of the zoo, soon brought the interest of scientists seeking to understand the mystery of the tamer and his beast. Dasher's already large size only grew further in the coming years, stopping only when it was as big as a shire horse, it was obvious that something wasn't right and science had to find it.
And find it they did not, regardless of how much they tested both the tamer and the lion, scientists kept finding the same results, normal brain activity on both, abnormal growth hormone production in Dasher helped explain in part why it had grown to its final size but didn't explain why it had stopped, and why unlike most giants it was still alive.
What was noticed was that while their bond improved and grew, both the teen and the lion needed to stay near the other, which culminated with a very risky agreement. Kaiser was allowed to take Dasher home and then back to the zoo, every day, escorted by some officers to ensure the safety of both the lion and the tamer.
He had to leave the school as he turned nineteen, there was just no way for him to take Dasher to classes, but with the growing fame of the giant lion and its tamer, it didn't seem as if that would be too bad.
It was one of those days, moving Dasher from home to the zoo with his father, that crossing the gate they came out to a very different world.

Powers
[attr="class","apane"]

[attr="class","pane"]Kaiser and Dasher share a bond that no other human could eves aspire to share with the giant lion, being able to understand one another without having to share a word. This bond allows Kaiser to control Dasher perfectly, although it comes at a price of stability.
Kaiser can't leave Dasher out of his perception range, and Dasher can't stay out of Kaiser's perception range, without both feeling restless, periods longer than a day long make them deeply depressed and on a single mental track: Find the other. This isn't surprising if we consider that Dasher and Kaiser each shares a shard of the soul of the other, so essentially being away from the other is akin to loosing a very significant part of themselves.
Dasher isn't your average lion, he's huge, standing the astonishing height of 188 centimeters at its shoulder and 608 centimeters from nose to tip of the tail, he was the biggest feline alive on Earth back in the day, and is probably the biggest feline alive in the IPSCS.
This sheer size allows Dasher to be mounted by Kaiser and someone else, and although his way of running makes it hard to stay sitting on top for two persons, one person can actually mount him perfectly well... if it's used to mount a huge creature as Dasher that is.
It's almost needless to say that Dasher is astonishingly strong, simply being capable of bearing his 1,050Kg is an impressive feat, but he could easily pull a parked pick up truck without problem. The combination of size and weight, along with being a top predator, makes Dasher a force to be feared in a fight, a swipe from its massive paws could send an average human flying away with some extremely serious wounds and a bite would positively destroy an average human's torso.
Despite the advantages, Dasher is still a massive lion, it's impossible for him to sneak on anything and thus must rely on Kaiser to feed him (Besides having never hunted by himself.) He is also a lion, so humans are naturally afraid and defensive when dealing with such a massive predator, and even though enduring, human weapons are effective enough to possibly kill Dasher.

[attr="class","pane"]When it comes to engineering and mechanics, Kaiser is downright a genius, learning at astonishing speed and adapting very fast to changes in technology.
This adaptability and deep knowledge allows Kaiser to operate, sabotage, repair, and create even complex mechanisms, provided that the pieces to do so are available and that he is given the time to work with the mechanism without major distractions. Ironically one of the tricks that Kaiser taught Dasher was to identify and hand him tools, as well as to help him with simple tasks such as pushing and pulling things around, so when Kaiser has Dasher around, his efficiency improves drastically.
Of course this knowledge is quite outdated in this new world, but as time goes by, Kaiser will adapt to the new conditions... Or die breaking down some ship to change his work as a mechanic to a ship mechanic.
