Hello, and thank you for wanting to make a character on our site.
Currently as it stands, Character creation is currently free form, which means that you can create your character layout any way you see fit. Of course we have some guidelines you do have to adhere to.
Currently as it stands, Character creation is currently free form, which means that you can create your character layout any way you see fit. Of course we have some guidelines you do have to adhere to.
- Create a new account with the forum with your new character, To do so, press the account switch button at the bottom of the screen and select "Create new account for this site" Name your account your character's first, last or common nickname (You can rename your character's account later in the edit profile section of your account sheet.)
- Tag your OOC account in the Topic somewhere obvious (Near the very top or very bottom) tag with an @ like this:
@OOCaccountThat tag above for me would come out for me as this:@Umedyn
and would look like this: Umedyn The Betabomb - Clear Sections: like "Basics" or "Personality" This is especially true for powers and abilities
- Balanced Character: Your character's abilities have to be balanced with positive and negatives. Each character is judged on a case by case basis, but there are some abilities that are NOT allowed, like invincibility and invulnerability. Remember that the more balanced your character's abilities are, the faster your character will be accepted.
- Characters imported from Haven: please specify that the character is a haven import at the top of the application, and please provide a link to the character's Haven sheet so we can verify and instantly accept you. You must still post the whole Character information in the application, but the link is to verify those that already had a Haven character. This only applies to Haven imported characters.
- When you are done making your character, please post in the My Character is Ready! - Announce Your Finished Character! Topic, so we know it's ready for review!
Other than those simple rules, right now you are free to create your character the way you want. There will be other specifications as the site grows, but those will be addressed at a later date!
